BIOGRAPHY

Lou trained as a Silver/Goldsmith at the Northern school of Art qualifying as a traditional Jeweller.

She has worked as a Silversmith for over 10 years.

Lou is also a qualified teacher and teaches Jewellery design and fabrication for York Learning as well as 1-2-1 private tuition.

Intrigued and Inspired by her surroundings, Lou's work is abstract, experimental and emotional, bursting with innate organic form, sculptural and poetic.

 Lou has sold and exhibited both nationally and internationally. In 2019 Lou was nominated for the Venice Arts prize. In 2025 Lou won an award with Yorkshire Prestige Awards.

Lou uses an array of entangled processes within her work, creating unique and bold designs. She works on location creating bespoke jewellery in woodlands, river water, sea water and uses nature to create each piece.
